We recently had a client call us because she had the regional building department contact her to find out why there was no permit pulled on recent remodel work. The contractor she hired to do some remodeling work on her rental home was not licensed and therefore did not pull a permit. Waldo Canyon fire & Rebuilding Our Community
This summer, Colorado has been ravaged by record breaking temperatures and numerous wildfires. One of the recent wildfires that has hit us especially close to home is: The Waldo Canyon fire. There were 346 homes completely destroyed on the west side of Colorado Springs, most of them in the Mountain Shadows & Peregrine subdivisions. And numerous other homes damaged by fire or smoke.
This wildfire came over the canyon ridge on Tuesday, June 26th at 60 mph and most people on the west-side of town only had minutes to flee before this mile wide fire overtook their homes with some people never getting the chance to grab a few belongings at all before the area was evacuated. We can’t imagine how devastating of an impact this has made on those who have lost so much so quickly.
Thankfully, our community has come together to help support the people who have been affected by this devastating fire along with the firefighters, police and military who have spent many days and nights on little if any sleep to help get this fire under control, so nobody else has to suffer the loss of their home. Colorado Springs is home to some of the BEST people who see a community need & help. We’re so proud to be apart of this community!
